CURRENT MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
| Associate Member | Associate members are typically people interested in the
railroad but who are unable to attend meetings, work weekends, and
special activities. They support the organization through
membership dues and additional gifts. After completing the
membership form, you will want to make sure you join the
"gsrgroup" email list. Benefits: Bimonthly newsletter (online), non-photo id card, discounts on merchandise and services Cost: $20 per year |
| General / Individual Member | General members are individuals who take an active role in the
organization by attending meetings, holding elected or appointed
positions, and attending work weekends on a regular basis.
Benefits: Bimonthly newsletter (online), photo id card, discounts on merchandise and services, ability to earn marked discounts or free rides based on hours worked, voting rights, email copy of meeting agendas and notes, inclusion in online discussion groups regarding management of the organizations. | Board Director | People filling a Board of Directors slot must be from the local community
(either
live or work in Muskingum, Perry, Fairfield, or Licking counties in
Ohio). The board consists of 9 individuals, of which 3 must be
active volunteers of the railroad. Every effort is made to
attract individuals who have a vested interest in the local
community. Board members must be able to attend a monthly
meeting. Benefits: Bimonthly newsletter (online), photo id card, discounts on merchandise and services, ability to earn marked discounts or free rides based on hours worked, voting rights, email copy of meeting agendas and notes, inclusion in online discussion groups regarding management of the organizations, general membership fees paid by the organization. | Business Sponsors | Business sponsors are individuals, businesses, organizations, or
corporations who wish to help the railroad achieve the community
focused goals. Benefits: Bimonthly newsletter (online), voting rights, email copy of meeting agendas and notes, inclusion in online discussion groups regarding management of the organizations, special advertising (based on type of sponsorship), up to 2 "floating" general memberships for your organization. Membership at the Associate Member is only $20 per year - a small donation to help our non-profit scenic railroad grow. Your money will be used to help keep you up to date on the activities of the railroad, pay our bills, and improve the attraction for all riders. However, you are not sure if you want to make this commitment yet, feel free to join the "gsrgroup" email list. It is through that mail list that special announcements, press releases, work weekends, and other events are publicized.
